TIB - TECHNICAL INTENSIVE BOXING®

An innovative and unique boxing training formula that revolves around using technical boxing drills and workouts, that allow participants of all levels to learn, develop and refine boxing skills and abilities.

These drills and workouts also improve coordination, power, speed, balance agility and boost mental performance, and were developed by our founder and international amateur boxing champion Carlos 'Special One' Moreno. 

The unique aspect of this training program is that it implements a wide variety of new school and old school boxing training drills and techniques. Using Technical Intensive Boxing® we help our clients understand the importance of learning good technique and implementing this technique during training. Through our unique technical drills we reinforce proper boxing through meticulous repetition and concentration, which will help you to refine your movements and improve your technique and fitness.

IBXT- INTENSIVE BOXING CROSS TRAINING®

Our second program Intensive Boxing Cross Training® (IBXT®) will see you training in a variety of other exercises alongside the boxing. With our unique IBXT® workouts you can expect a much stiffer challenge where you will not only be learning boxing but will be cross training in kettle bells, battle ropes, weights, sprinting, skipping and more! All of the exercises from IBXT® are designed so that they help you improve specific aspects of your fitness that relate to your boxing performance such as speed, agility, power, strength, coordination etc. This results in you becoming fitter, faster and stronger, which in turn directly translates to an improvement in your boxing ability as all the exercises are specific towards eliminating your weaknesses and building on your strengths.

Our IBXT programme can incorporate a wide variety of training methods, exercises and techniques which make it applicable to a wider group of participants than other available training methods. The cross training element keeps things interesting and fresh as there is always a new exercise to explore that will see you get the best out of your training, which in turn keeps your body constantly adapting to new challenges as you get fitter.

The IBXT program is not just about doing a bunch of different exercises to avoid tedium, instead we really aim to teach and implement proper technique during exercises. We don't just ask clients to perform an exercise without first analysing whether they are at the suited level and capable of performing the exercises correctly and safely. We go to lengths to ensure that we explain and demonstrate the proper technique in each and every exercise, whether that includes boxing, weight training, running etc.

TIB KICKBOX®

This class is excellent for the boxer who wants to learn the basics with an experienced and patient kickboxing instructor.

In this lesson we introduce you to the principles of kickboxing, showing you how to get into a boxing stance, move your feet, defend and throw punches and kicks. We also introduce you to some of the basics of our Technical Intensive Boxing®, which is our own unique boxing training program designed for people of all levels and abilities.

 

  • Understand basic kickboxing attack and defence

  • Feel comfortable doing beginner sparring

  • Know how to work on the punching bag, pads, shadow boxing and skipping

  • Have improved cardiovascular fitness and strength

  • How to parry, avoid and block kicks and punches

  • How to throw advanced kicks such as side-kicks and ax-kicks

  • Participate in technical KICKBOX sparring with a shin guard

  • How to through elbow strikes and backfists

TIB FIGHT CAMP®

This is a brand new boxing class suitable for individuals who want to take up the challenge of actually compete in and WIN boxing fights. The FIGHT CAMP classes are designed with VICTORY in mind and every participant will be pushed beyond their limits to become a complete fighter. Regardless if you're scheduled to fight or not you should attend this class if you are seeking an ultimate challenge in both fitness and boxing technique.

In this class you can expect to:

  • Learn reactive padwork / mittwork

  • Learn techniques used by elite professional boxers such as shoulder roll, check hook, lead hook, pull counters etc.

  • Participate in technical full sparring with headguard and gumshield

  • Learn strategic concepts such as ringcraft, how to hold center ring, boxing on the back foot, pressure fighting and much more.
